"Protean" is a surreal painting series exploring the psychological and spiritual dualities embedded in the human experience. Through distorted visages, shifting forms, and symbolic archetypes, the works confront the tension between the projected self and the hidden self. Each piece unravels layers of deception and transfiguration, reflecting how identity is shaped by illusion, desire, memory, and the unconscious.
The series traverses the space between material and immaterial, truth and performance, but also spritiual aspects of the human experience, inviting the viewer to question what is real, what is worn, and what is eternal. The series was inpired by traveling, world events and meditations about psychology, as inpired by the artists professional background.
